Previously disadvantaged communities are affected by high levels of chronic unemployment, low household incomes, single-parent households, absence of positive role models and a lack of services in the field of health, social development and education. Young people navigate their lives in an environment which features few resources but a substantial number of risks (e.g. violence, drugs, crime). Our skills centre aims at offering skills programmes for young people of poor households. Individualized training is realized through small training groups. Three training streams focus on Building/Construction, Fashion Design/Sewing and ICT providing basic skills training and personal development.
